Texas Holdem deals fifty-two (52) cards on a deck which is the total number of cards in one deck. The 52-card deck game must exclude joker cards before the dealing. And each player is entitled to get hole cards or pocket cards. Description of the Deck and Number of Decks Used 1. Physical Characteristics: Cards shall be in standard decks of fifty-two cards. Big tournaments may include many hundreds of players but during any one hand, the player is only competing against others on his or her table.
