In second place on the list is yet another Macau-based casino in the form of the City of Dreams. This is a 420,000 square feet gaming area within a resort that redefined casino construction when it was built back in 2009. It is located on the Cotai Strip and was the inspiration for the City of Dreams, Manila resort that was opened in 2015.
This casino is owned and managed by Melco Crown Entertainment, the name behind other venues such as Studio City in Macau. The casino offers 1,514 gaming tables and 450 casino gaming tables. The resort hosts a number of attractions such as the Vquarium, the Bubble Fountain, and the Dancing Water Theatre. There is also a total number of 1,400 hotel rooms across the resort with retail space, restaurants, and entertainment venues. It is a venue that got its name after being built after the famous Rio Carnival. The resort has since used the event as inspiration for its design and it essentially uses the carnival atmosphere as its theme.
